In its daily bulletin on the epidemiological situation, the Ministry also said that the number of first-time vaccine recipients has reached 24,852,838, that of people who have received two doses amounts to 23,337,336, while 6,533,636 people have had three injections of the vaccine.
The new record of infections brings to 1,199,226 the total number of contaminations since the first case reported in Morocco on March 02, 2020, while the number of recovered people has risen to 1,165,967, representing a recovery rate of 97.2%.
The new cases of infection were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (1.305), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (974), Fès-Meknès (348), Marrakech-Safi (272), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (125), Souss-Massa (118), Draâ-Tafilalet (91), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (61), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (16), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (15), the East (13) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (05). The total number of deaths rose to 16,097, with three new cases recorded in 24 hours in the regions of Casablanca-Settat, Marrakech-Safi and Souss-Massa.
The active cases are 17,162 while the severe or critical cases have reached 33 in the last 24 hours, bringing their total to 92.
As for the occupancy rate of resuscitation beds, it is 1.8%.
