Cameron Diaz: the actress would have made the mule for drugs between France and Morocco

While the movie “Back in Action” will mark her return to the limelight in 2023, Cameron Diaz claimed in a recent interview that she was used as a mule to smuggle illicit substances between France and Morocco when she was a model in the 1990s.

Galleys, and a suitcase with mysterious contents. Interviewed for the Second Life podcast on the occasion of the release of her next movie, Cameron Diaz made confidences on the beginnings of her career, and came back on the difficult period she had gone through in the 1990s, when she was a model.

She told podcast host Hillary Kerr that she then gathered all of her savings to move to Paris, where she was unfortunately unable to find a job afterwards. “I was there a full year and I didn’t work a day. I couldn’t find a job to save my life. Then I found a job, but really, I think I was a drug mule in Morocco – I swear to God,” she says.

Cameron Diaz said that she was given a suitcase “with outfits”, and that she did not know that it contained illegal substances, until she arrived at the airport when she began to panic when she realized it.

“I’m that girl with blonde hair and blue eyes in Morocco. I’m wearing ripped jeans and platform boots, hair down – it’s really dangerous. I told them, ‘I don’t know, it’s not mine, I don’t know whose it is. It’s the only job I’ve had in Paris,” she lamented.

Avoiding at least ten years in prison for drug trafficking, Cameron Diaz says she left the suitcase to officials. After this unfortunate adventure, Cameron Diaz had seen her luck change in Los Angeles, spotted by a casting agent looking for a “bombshell” to play alongside Jim Carrey, in what would become the 1994 hit, “The Mask”.
