Morocco/Covid-19: 147 new cases and 1 death in the last 24 hours

A total of 147 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) and 890 recoveries have been recorded in Morocco in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection said on Monday, reporting one new death.

In its daily bulletin on the epidemiological situation, the Ministry also said that the number of primary vaccinated reached 24,876,673, those who received two doses amounted to 23,367,095 while 6,683,642 people had three injections of the vaccine. The number of people who received the fourth dose is 26,866.

The new report of infections brings to 1.261.125 the total number of contaminations since the first case reported in Morocco on March 02, 2020, while the number of recovered persons has increased to 1.241.008, that is to say a recovery rate of 98,4%.

The new cases of infection were recorded in the regions of Oriental (43), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (30), Casablanca-Settat (22), Souss-Massa (20), Draâ-Tafilalet (08), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (08), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (07), Marrakech-Safi (06) and Fès-Meknès (03).

The total number of deaths rose to 16,238 (case fatality 1.3%), with a new case recorded in 24 hours in the region of Beni Mellal-Khénifra.

The active cases are 3,879 while the severe or critical cases have reached seven in the last 24 hours, bringing their total to 90. As for the occupancy rate of the resuscitation beds, it stands at 1.7%.
