In its daily bulletin on the epidemiological situation, the Ministry also said that the number of primary vaccinated reached 24,879,322, those who received two doses amounted to 23,370,108 while 6,698,641 people had three injections of the vaccine. The number of people who received the fourth dose is 29,124.
The new record of infections brings to 1,262,082 the total number of contaminations since the first case reported in Morocco on March 02, 2020, while the number of recovered people has risen to 1,242,896, representing a recovery rate of 98.5%.
The new cases of infection were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (63), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (53), Fès-Meknès (31), Oriental (30), Souss-Massa (26), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (21), Marrakech-Safi (14), Draâ-Tafilalet (11), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (08), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (06), Guelmim-Oued Noun (02) and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (01).
The total number of deaths rose to 16,250 (case-fatality 1.3%), with two new cases recorded in 24 hours in the Souss-Massa region.
The active cases are 2,936 while seven new severe or critical cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing their total to 71. As for the occupancy rate of resuscitation beds, it is 1.4%.
