David Govrin, head of the Israeli mission in Rabat, announced the signing last Monday of the contract for the construction of the permanent embassy of the State of Israel, in the capital of the Kingdom. Mr. Govrin said in a recent tweet that he was pleased to share with his followers a photo illustrating “one of the historic moments I experienced with my team.
He continued that the contract for the construction of the headquarters of the Permanent Embassy of Israel in Morocco “was signed yesterday. And this, with a construction company and Moroccan engineers, said the head of the Israeli mission in Morocco. “We will begin so and, God willing, a new era, during which we will consolidate our distinguished relations with Morocco,” promised in his tweet David Govrin.
Recall that this decision is part of the continuation of actions planned for the full resumption of diplomatic relations between the Jewish state and the kingdom. Both countries had promised the opening of embassies in their respective capitals.
