Covid-19 in Morocco: the last report of the last 24 hours

A total of 121 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) and 343 recoveries have been recorded in Morocco in the last 24 hours, said Sunday the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, which reported a new death.

In its daily bulletin on the epidemiological situation, the Ministry also said that the number of primary vaccinated reached 24,880,311, those who received two doses amounted to 23,371,226 while 6,702,586 people had three injections of the vaccine. The number of people who received the fourth dose is 29,714.

The new report of infections brings to 1,262,622 the total number of contaminations since the first case reported in Morocco on March 02, 2020, while the number of recovered persons has increased to 1,244,178, representing a recovery rate of 98.5%.

The new cases of infection were recorded in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (40), Oriental (17), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (14), Casablanca-Settat (14), Marrakech-Safi (12), Souss-Massa (10), Fès-Meknès (10) and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (04).

The total number of deaths rose to 16,257 (case-fatality 1.3%), with one new case recorded in 24 hours in the Marrakech-Safi region.

There are 2,187 active cases, while four new severe or critical cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 66. As for the occupancy rate of the resuscitation beds, it stands at 1.3%.
