As part of the implementation of the provisions of Law No. 13-21 on the legal uses of cannabis, the National Agency for the Regulation of Cannabis Activities (ANRAC) has issued ten authorizations to carry out the activities of processing and manufacturing of cannabis, as well as marketing and export of cannabis and its products for medical, pharmaceutical and industrial purposes, announced a statement from the agency.
“Following the issuance of these authorizations, the Agency will begin, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 13-21, the process of authorizing farmers installed in the regulatory perimeter (provinces of Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen and Taounate) to carry out the activity of cultivation and production of cannabis in the framework of agricultural cooperatives. The farmers will be authorized in a progressive way on the basis of the needs expressed by the authorized industrialists.”
“ANRAC continues to explore the opportunities offered by the cannabis market to develop this sector and promote the conversion of farmers from illicit cultivation to a legal, sustainable and income-generating,” concludes the statement.
