The region of Dakhla Oued Eddahab commemorates the 47ème anniversary of the Green March and punctuates the city of Dakhla by a 1ère edition of cultural, sports, festive and social programming
The region of Dakhla Oued Eddahab, celebrates the 47ème anniversary of the Green March from 1er to 6 November 2022 in the city of Dakhla through the launch of the first edition of Dakhla Green Week, a week rich in cultural, sporting, festive and social events. The region thus commemorates its willingness to preserve the sacred values of this symbol of strong cohesion between the Throne and its people and the constants of the Moroccan royal nationalism.
New embodiment of the success of the new development model of the southern provinces of Morocco and the showcase of the soft power of Moroccan diplomacy, the city of Dakhla also consolidates its willingness to work collectively for the global sustainable development under the enlightened leadership of his Majesty King Mohamed VI.
An atmosphere of joy and patriotic jubilation rhythmic, to make citizens discover each day a pleiad of artists who responded to the call of nationalism and solidarity.
Under the sign of nationalism pillar of territorial integrity, the squares of the city of Dakhla will host for this first edition of tantalizing musical evenings punctuated by a selection of local and national artists who will express through their art, their mobilization and unwavering commitment to defend our territorial integrity. The musical selection will convey strong messages and will value the artistic and cultural heritage of Hassani as a lever of the new development model of the south but also of different horizons such as Fusion, Chaabi, or a diversified Moroccan repertoire giving rise to an eclectic festival.
For the happiness of the youngest, the esplanades will also give access to a children’s village proposing playful animations, workshops of manual and artistic activities, mini-shows and also sessions of sensitization and inculcation of the good manners of the use of water especially in full period of drought.
The city of Dakhla will also deploy a series of eco-responsible actions mainly aimed at the new generation in partnership with schools and associations in the region, for the transmission of good values and actions namely:
- The protection of the maritime and terrestrial flora and the cleaning of the beaches or the alleys of the city, the culture of plantation or the importance of recycling and the sensitization on the gravity of the waste of water.
The celebration of the Green March is an opportunity for the various components of society to continue to work collectively, the city of Dakhla will therefore give a particular dimension of commitment and challenge to this first edition by giving you an appointment to a 10 km run calling for the participation of women and men and even the smallest.
With the support of the National Federation of Athletics, this race aims to commemorate the spirit of commitment of a green walk that brings countless lessons of civic and peace. The 6 winners “3 men and 3 women” of this race will be awarded gift vouchers, according to their ranking, which will be given to them by the organizers of the event.
