A young man sets himself on fire to protest against the issuance of a ticket against him in Casablanca

On Monday, a 25-year-old man attempted to commit suicide by deliberately setting fire to his upper limbs near a road checkpoint in the Ain Sbaa security zone in the Mohammadi district of Casablanca, in protest against the issuance of a traffic violation notice against him.

A report from the Casablanca State Security revealed that the individual was caught by police officers committing a traffic violation related to the failure to wear a protective helmet while riding a motorcycle tricycle.

However, he used a highly flammable liquid to cause intentional burns after writing the violation report, and the same source pointed out that these actions were documented using the chest camera of a national security element.

The person concerned has been kept under medical observation at the local hospital, while research and investigations continue to determine all the circumstances, circumstances and background surrounding this incident
