The 4th edition of the International Lute Festival is scheduled from 19 to 25 December in the various districts of the economic capital of the Kingdom, with a rich and varied program to the delight of music lovers, said Friday in Casablanca, the director of the Festival, Mohcine Boufettal.
At a press conference devoted to the presentation of the program of the festival, Mr. Boufettal said that this edition, initiated by the Association Fourth Art and the City Council of Casablanca, is an opportunity for great lute players from around the world to meet in person and remotely.
Mr. Boufettal, also president of the Fourth Art Association, said that the organizers have concocted for this edition a diverse program including various components, including conferences, Master Class courses of lute and workshops engineering lute.
Musical evenings will punctuate this appointment at the different districts of Casablanca. The opening night will be marked by a tribute to the great master Abdelwahab Doukkali, doyen of the Moroccan song and one of the most talented lute players of the artistic scene.
