A total of 2,800 head of cattle for slaughter arrived at the port of Jorf Lasfar from Brazil and this as part of the supply of the national market in red meat and support the stability of wholesale and retail prices.
On this occasion, the Regional Director of Agriculture in the region Casablanca-Settat, Hssain Rahaoui, explained that this operation of importing cattle, which is the first and largest shipment arrived from Brazil for slaughter, is part of the measures taken by the government to ensure a regular supply of red meat to national markets. Mr. Rahaoui said that in the region of Casablanca-Settat, the number of imported cattle has reached 6,448 heads, indicating that these operations would ensure a normal supply of the national market and the stability of prices of red meat.
And to emphasize that other cattle import operations will supply local markets.
