In its weekly bulletin on the epidemiological situation, covering the period from April 1 to 7, the Ministry also said that the number of first-time vaccine recipients reached 24,922,085, those who received two doses amounted to 23,423,804, while 6,882,931 people had three injections of the vaccine and 60,708 received the fourth dose.
The new weekly infection report brings to 1,272,733 the total number of infections since the first case was reported in Morocco on March 2, 2020, with a weekly positivity rate of 6%.
The new infections were reported in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (17), Grand Casablanca-Settat (11), Fès-Meknès (09), Souss-Massa (07), Marrakech-Safi (06), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (02) and Oriental (02).
The total number of deaths is still 16,296 (overall case fatality 1.3%), with zero cases recorded in the last week.
The active cases are 65, with zero severe or critical cases.
