Morocco-Spain: A new economic summit will be held on May 22 in Madrid

The agenda of summits between Morocco and Spain is in full swing. The Moroccan-Spanish Economic Council (CEMAES) will organize, on May 22, at the headquarters of the Spanish employers’ organization a new summit of businessmen from both countries. “The president of the Spanish employers’ organization, Antonio Garamendi, will open the business meeting Investing in Morocco for common prosperity,” says the Spanish media Eleconomista.

The government of Pedro Sanchez will be represented by the new Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Héctor Gómez, who will accompany the Minister Delegate for Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mohcine Jazouli, at the closing of the meeting.

The meeting will focus primarily on the investment of Spanish companies in Morocco, said the same source. The political component of this summit will be discussed in depth between the Moroccan ambassador in Madrid, Karima Benyaich, and his Spanish counterpart, Ricardo Díez-Holchleitner. Both will be responsible for deepening the importance of strengthening relations between Spain and Morocco, explains the Spanish media.

Note that earlier this week, the holding of a business summit on renewable energy projects that Morocco plans to implement, was decided and scheduled for June 6 to 8 in Casablanca. “Morocco offers Spanish companies important opportunities that can be explored through this business meeting, coinciding, moreover, with a propitious moment in bilateral relations with Morocco, which will have to consolidate the good image of the country and give a positive perception of Spanish products, “had reported the Spanish media The Objective.
