Casablanca-Settat: the Regional Council adopts a 47 billion dirham development plan

The Council, meeting at the Anfa prefecture headquarters, examined and adopted items relating to investment, employment, the economy and training, as well as the integrated qualification of the rural world, water and the environment, transport and infrastructure, social services (health, sport, culture and education), the budget and finance. 

 Within this framework, the Council examined and adopted the modifications to the PDR (Regional Development Plan) 2022/2027, the transfer of funds dedicated to the Regional Project Execution Agency (AREP) to the Casa-Settat Développement Regional Development Company (SDR). 

 During the session, chaired by Abdellatif Maâzouz, President of the Casablanca-Settat Regional Council, in the presence of the region’s Wali, Said Ahmidouche, the Governor of the Casa Anfa prefecture, Aziz Dadès, and representatives of external services, the council also postponed the examination of three items relating to the modification of the organization chart of the region’s council management, the examination and approval of the final documents of the Casa-Baia development company and the appointment of two persons, in addition to the president of the region’s council, to the Casa-Baia Board of Directors. In a statement to the press, the Chairman of the Board, Abdellatif Maâzouz, indicated that this session was marked by the adoption of the new PDR as approved by the Ministry of the Interior (51 programs and projects) for a value of 47 MMDH, “a record figure at national level”. 

 Within the framework of these investments, water and the environment occupy a place of choice, in addition to stimulating the rural world and employment, as well as creating businesses for the benefit of young people in the region, added Mr. Maâzouz. 

 These programs and projects are in application of the high directives of HM King Mohammed VI, who places particular emphasis on improving the living conditions of citizens in all regions,” emphasized the region’s president.
