In a move aimed at effectively combating crime, detecting malicious behavior and improving road traffic regulation, the municipality of Casablanca has allocated a considerable budget of around 1.2 billion dirhams.
The funding will be used to set up a network of over 130 kilometers of cable, establish a modern data center and acquire other essential equipment.
Some 700 cameras will be distributed over 330 sites, with 200 control units installed at intersections.
