According to preliminary information provided by the DSGN, the Rabat security services received a call from the officer’s family, reporting his death.
The man’s body was discovered by his family with a bullet from his gun, the DSGN said. An investigation was opened after midnight on Sunday August 13 to determine the exact circumstances of the death.
DSGN officers have taken samples of material clues and tangible evidence at the scene of the tragedy, pending completion of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office in order to clarify the ins and outs of this tragedy. The police officer’s body was taken to the hospital morgue for an autopsy, while his service weapon was seized for ballistics analysis.
The judicial police also took statements from the wife and relatives present at the scene of the tragedy.
