Volcanodiscovery, a website specializing in earthquake detection, has reported an earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale in the Marrakech region. The tremor occurred at 7.37pm, according to the same source, which points out that the epicenter was located near Casablanca. Although of low intensity, the tremor was felt by the local population.
Another tremor was reported 83 kilometers from Marrakech. The earthquake was of magnitude 3.6, according to estimates by the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere.
