On the night of Friday November 23rd, a young man was stabbed to death in the Ouled Hmar douar, part of the Saniat Berguig rural commune in the province of Sidi Bennour. Twenty-four hours later, his killer was arrested by members of the Zmamra Royal Gendarmerie. Following a heated argument between the two friends, one of them struck the other several times. In a very critical condition, the victim was taken to Sidi Bennour regional hospital. Halfway there, however, he gave up the ghost. As for the murderer, he fled the scene. A manhunt began throughout the region. Even the dog squad of the regional command in El Jadida was involved. This mobilization resulted in the arrest of the culprit in the late afternoon of the following day, Friday November 24, and his placement in police custody. He was questioned before being brought before the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Appeal in the capital of the Doukkala region.
