Sugar industry: International group Wilmar withdraws from Cosumar capital

According to an official announcement by the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC), the international group incorporated under Singaporean law, Wilmar Sugar Holdings, has sold all its shares in Cosumar (i.e. just over 30% of the capital). The sale, which took place on November 30, 2023, involves almost 27 million Cosumar shares at a unit price of 210 dirhams. Total value of the transaction: nearly 6 billion dirhams (MMDH). The new buyers include the French group Suceden, which has bought 10% of the shares, Mamda, CIMR, BCP and certain mutual funds. Following this transaction, the Wilmar Sugar Holdings group declares that it no longer holds any Cosumar shares, either directly or indirectly.
