Elements of the Hay Hassani provincial security district in Casablanca arrested a 23-year-old sub-Saharan national on Friday evening, for his alleged involvement in the possession and trafficking of cocaine and the drug “Lpoufa”.
The suspect was arrested in flagrante delicto for trafficking several doses of cocaine, before search operations carried out at his home in the El Oulfadistrict of Casablanca led to the seizure of one kilogram and 260 grams of cocaine and 500 grams of “Lpoufa”, in addition to the seizure of two scales and several cell phones, a security source said.
The investigation into the case also led to the seizure of 20,000 dirhams, which the suspect had tried to use to bribe police officers, with the intention of avoiding arrest, it was noted.
The individual was placed in police custody for the purposes of the judicial investigation being carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to shed light on all the criminal acts of which he is accused and to arrest the rest of the accomplices in this case.
