Six years’ imprisonment for a paedophile in Tangier

Six years’ imprisonment was the verdict handed down by the criminal division of the Tangier Court of Appeal against a paedophile who sexually abused at least three minors. Found guilty of indecent assault on minors with the use of violence, the father denied the charges against him in court, claiming that he had been framed by the plaintiffs, in this case the children’s parents. As a father himself, he could not do such things to other children, he argued in court. However, the three children were unanimous in saying, both before the police and in court, that the defendant was hijacking them. He would take them to his home when his wife and children weren’t there to undress and abuse them. He mistreated those who resisted. Finally, they warned them to reveal the secret to their families.
