Jazzablanca is to Take Place Between July 2 and 7 in Casablanca

A number of world jazz stars, including Franz Ferdinand, Calypso Rose, Maceo Parker, Paulo Fressu and Michael Kiwanuka, will take part in the 14th edition of the “Jazzablanca” festival, which will be held from July 2 to 7 in Casablanca, with the participation of 40 artists and 200 musicians from 14 different countries.

The artists will perform in open stages in different parts of Casablanca, including the Anfa hypodrome, Place des Nations, “Village”, “Anfa” and “Jazz Club” theatres, the Casa-Anfa Hippodrome, and the BMCI stage.

And for the first time in its history, the festival has dedicated a new stage to electronic music called “Le Roof”, which will feature national and international DJs every night.

In addition to concerts, the festival offers seminars, master classes and free educational workshops for children, as well as musical workshops for young artists.

It is worth mentioning that 3,500 people attended the first edition of the festival, rising to 75,000 last year. This number is expected to increase further in this edition.

The previous edition of the festival featured several international artists, including pop star Beth Ditto, and the Lebanese group “The Wanton Bishops”, “Hob Hoba Spirit” and “betweenatna” gave rock concerts, not to mention the rising artist Sonia Noor, “Les Barons de Baltimore”, the Jazz Soul Musango trio, Climax, and the group Daraa Tribes.
