Kadmiri: What matters is the content, not the views

In a new episode of Nayda in Hollywood, Simo Benbachir welcomed the Moroccan YouTuber Mourad Kadmiri, who was born in Las Vegas in a family that was among the first to emigrate to the United States in the 1950s.

Mourad told Simo about his dream of becoming the most famous YouTuber in the United States. “That’s great. I never imagined that I could get to where I am today. At first, I was making videos for my friends and family, and I didn’t think it would attract millions of followers,” he said. He continued, “I am happy because thanks to what I do, I bring joy and good humor to people, and my videos brighten their days.”

He went back to the beginning of his passion for making videos on YouTube and told Simo that the beginning took place when his brother, a correspondent for a Moroccan newspaper, offered him a camera. It was with this device that he shot many fun videos that he shared with family and friends, long before YouTube or any other electronic platforms.

“I was one of the first to discover YouTube. I was among the first people to access this site, 24 hours after its creation. The first video I published there was in the form of a prank. I remember that the internet speed was not as fast as it is now. It took me three days to download a one-minute video. “, he told Simo.

Regarding his videos, Mourad said they are crazy, adding that he does not start from a plan, just as he does not write content. “Everything is improvised. I am making a unique comedy based on spontaneity,” he said.

Mourad Kadmiri is preparing to go to Morocco soon to lead a major project for the benefit of poor children and another for emerging artists, without providing more details.

As for his advice to those who want to become famous YouTubers like him, Mourad was satisfied with one sentence: “don’t pay much attention to the audience. The most important thing is the quality of the content.
