Morocco’s Mehdi Chahiri, 23, officially signed in Strasbourg in Ligue 1. He is leaving Red Star (French third division) as a real star.
Mehdi Chahiri, 23, has signed for Strasbourg in French Ligue 1. The attacking midfielder had previously played for Red Star at national level. He was loaned out to the Ile-de-France club until June afterwards.
He signed for a four-and-a-half year contract and has been the biggest surprise of the season at the French national team, scoring 13 goals in 19 matches in all competitions.
The Red Star will receive the sum of one million euros (+ bonus) for Mehdi Chahiri, who was also in demand by Montpellier and Dijon.
