Moroccan Agriculture in the age of digital innovation, a theme in line with the changes of the new millennium.
The theme of SIAM 2020 “Moroccan Agriculture in the age of digital innovation” responds to the global trend of digitalization of economies and processes. In the specific case of agriculture, digitalization allows improving productivity, traceability and marketing. It also promotes the social and financial inclusion of the rural world through mobile banking and new products that make banking and financial services accessible to the entire rural population.
The digital transformation of the agricultural sector is also a tool for the good governance of agricultural strategies, optimizing and accelerating the sharing of information and the development of monitoring and decision-making tools.
The United Kingdom, Country in the spotlight at the 15th edition of the SIAM
The United Kingdom, with agricultural production amounting to EUR 27.8 billion in 2017, holds nearly 11% of the European agri-food market share.
