Pinto Makes Wishes for HM the King and for Moroccans and Collects Donations for the Needy

Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto, president of the Rabbinical Court of Moroccan Jews, posted a video on Facebook and Instagram, in which he praises His Majesty King Mohammed VI, considering that his multiple distinctions from other kings make him a saint. No one else can reach his rightful place, especially in view of all his continuous efforts to better serve his people so that they can live in stability, security and peace.

The grandson of Rabbi Haim Pinto, who is buried in Essaouira, said that His Majesty King Mohammed VI had spared no effort to ensure that the Jews had everything they needed. He ensures the preservation of their burials, while allowing them to have Halal (Kashrut) food at their disposal. Rabbi Pinto called on all Moroccans to unite behind the Moroccan sovereign, urging the Moroccan Jewish community to pray to God to protect him and to protect the Kingdom of Morocco.

The Rabbi also urged all Jews to make donations to the “Israel Shova” fund so that it can redistribute its gifts to the needy, considering it a responsibility and duty for every member of the community, adding that ” Whoever does not reach out to those in need, commits a great sin. We cannot fail to think of those who are deprived”, calling for generosity and giving charity as much as possible, for “Whoever does this in this world will be rewarded by God here on earth before he is rewarded in the hereafter. »

On the other hand, Rabbi Yoshiyaho Pinto called on all Jews, in Morocco and throughout the world, to comply with the preventive measures taken by their respective countries of residence, in order to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.

Rabbi Pinto considered in a statement transmitted to many Moroccan media, that the respect of national decisions taken to counter the epidemic, is as much a proof of wisdom as an effective action to contain the spread of the virus, advising not to panic, to adopt a civilized behavior and to comply with social separation and quarantine for the safety of all.

Rabbi Pinto praised Morocco’s handling of this exceptional health crisis, as well as the efforts and royal instructions to preserve the safety of his people.
