Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto wished His Majesty King Mohammed VI a speedy recovery following the successful operation he underwent last weekend.
In a video posted on his Facebook page, the Moroccan rabbi prayed for the long life and good health of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as well as progress and prosperity for the Kingdom of Morocco, the country in which Jews have lived in safety for hundreds of years.
Rabbi Pinto recalled that love for Morocco has remained rooted in the hearts of the nearly one and a half million Jews who have left this kingdom for other countries, adding that their attachment to the royal family and their loyalty to the Kings of Morocco runs in their blood, just as their attachment to the glorious Alaouite Throne is rooted in their hearts and souls.
Rabbi Pinto described His Majesty Mohamed VI as a noble King who possesses the qualities and characteristics of the great kings who have marked human history, given that he is a king who is very close to his people and whose greatness is expressed through his modesty and concern for the poor and vulnerable.
It should be noted that many rabbis of Moroccan origin have posted videos on social networks, calling on Moroccan Jews around the world to offer prayers and wishes for a quick recovery for His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
