A young Moroccan girl has achieved the joy of passing her baccalaureate in France with an exceptional result of 20/20, reports the local press.
Ilham El Khallouki, obtained the baccalaureate in the General Economic and Social stream (ES), with a mark of 20/20.
The accomplishment of this young high school student was widely reported by the local press who posted a photo of her holding her diploma along with her mother.
Ilham El Khallouki was born on 26 May 2002 in El Menzel in the province of Sefrou (Morocco). She lives with her mother Wafaa Shaddadi in the Route de Vivières neighbourhood, in the commune of Villers-Cotterêts, in the department of Aisne.
Having been very good at obtaining good marks, she passed her brevet in 2017 with a very good grade.
Her wish is to continue her studies in law by joining the preparatory classes at the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Paris.
In France, students have the opportunity to obtain the baccalaureate with marks above 20 by choosing additional options that are taken into account in their overall average. However, this option will no longer be available for the 2021 Baccalaureate, which is subject to reform.
This year, the baccalaureate in France was mainly based on constant surveillance due to the coronavirus epidemic.
According to the French Ministry of Education, the graduation rate was 95.7%.
