The Moroccan duo from Zamalek are expected in Cairo on Sunday 26 July. If all goes well, Achraf Bencharki and Mohamed Ounajem are scheduled to fly from Casablanca to Cairo on Sunday on a plane chartered by the Egyptian consulate in Morocco.
This is what Ahmed Zaher, a leading member of the Cairo club, said during a speech on the official Zamalek channel. “50 people should be on board of the plane that will come to Cairo on Sunday, among them Bencharki and Ounajem,” he said.
On arrival, the two former Wydadis will have to undergo Covid-19 tests before joining their team-mates. The team members are already in Alexandria on a training camp in preparation for a resumption of the league and Champions League.
Zamalek, meanwhile, have a semi-final date with Raja Casablanca in the Champions League. The first leg will be played at the Mohammed V Complex and the return leg at the Cairo International Stadium.
