The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Morocco has launched a digital platform to support the recovery of economic activities after the Coronavirus crisis, entitled “My CFCIM”. It is a platform that brings together businessmen members of the Casablanca Chamber and members from the rest of the regions of the kingdom. It gives them the opportunity to participate and exchange perspectives, strengthen digital communication and distance working system as well as video seminars, which have been widely used during the confinement, thus allowing large companies to have more knowledge about the importance of these tools.

The platform, which offers its participants a year-long experience, includes in its ranks thousands of entrepreneurs and company managers, who have put their trust in this ambitious project. The platform provides them with practical and efficient answers to all questions related to the general order of their work and contracts and suggests adequate solutions for a good guidance of major changes.

The platform offers to its participants a free area, specialized in the field of networking with economic intelligence, direct debates by video, a multidisciplinary web platform, direct training sessions for real-time interaction and a rich and interactive program. It also helps participants to make the most of their time by providing them with the opportunity to communicate during the seminars.

Moroccan companies have been affected by the Coronavirus crisis that has hit the global economy. Studies in this regard have shown that the smallest companies have been the most affected with 90% of them being hit, followed by small and medium enterprises at 8%, while cooperations have been affected by only 2%. This impact is explained by their insufficient financial powers in the fight against the crisis. The study also showed that commercial enterprises working on the import of services to other enterprises were more affected, with more than 20%, followed by tourism enterprises with 13.5%, then construction enterprises with 12.7% and enterprises working in the field of communication and the digital field with 10.5%.

On the other hand, the study affirmed that 83% of the enterprises had completely closed and declared bankruptcy, while 17% had partially closed.
