Moroccan Baccalaureate: New Announcement from the Ministry of Education

The Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced that it will be making an exceptional announcement.

In a statement, the Ministry informs all candidates who will take the national examination that it will be sufficient this year to present the declaration on honor signed by the candidate, attesting to the fact that he or she is aware of the provisions of the law against cheating in the unified baccalaureate examination, without having to legalize it with the competent local authority.

The measures related to the prevention of examination fraud require the candidate to submit a declaration on his or her honor certifying that he or she is aware of the regulations in force, adds the Department of National Education. Among these measures are the prohibition of mobile phones or any electronic media within the areas dedicated to the examination, the statement said, noting that the mere possession of such devices is considered a case of punishable fraud.

The ministry also stressed that each candidate is required to present the declaration on honor signed by him or her personally or by his or her guardian, in the case of students under the age of 18. This must be done on the first day of the examination at the latest. This measure takes into consideration the state of health emergency that is currently being implemented in Morocco, which aims to stop the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19).

Accordingly, a copy of Law 02.13 relating to the punishment of fraud in school examinations was sent to all candidates via their e-mail address “[email protected]”.
