Rabbi Pinto Performs a Special Prayer, Preaches an Important Lesson and Prayers for HM the King

Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto performed a special prayer yesterday, Wednesday, in front of the tomb of Rabbi Amram Ben Diwan who lived in Jerusalem and was buried in Ouazzane, Morocco. A number of followers of the Jewish community in Morocco participated in the prayer while taking the necessary measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, including social distancing and wearing masks.

Following the prayer, which was broadcast live on the Rabbi’s official Facebook and Instagram pages and watched by thousands of people around the world, the Moroccan rabbi preached a religious lesson, calling on Jews to do charity to help the needy and warning against the exploitation of others. He also invited them to share love and kindness among people until they get better, giving examples from the history of the Jews, their rabbis and saints.

The president of the Jewish court in Casablanca also warned against complaining without reason, Particularly, he explained that those who claim to have what they do not have are eventually afflicted by what they claim, because they lie to God.

The Moroccan Rabbi also stressed the importance of seeking help from God as the shortest route to finding solutions to problems. He then affirmed that those who believe that they can find solutions on their own, through their contacts, friendships and ideas, without God’s help, are wrong. He also added that “we must stop planning and drawing up strategies and that we must turn to God and trust in His solutions”.

He also warned against stereotypes and pre-judgments and that we must try to understand people instead of judging them.

He concluded his lesson by praying for HM King Mohammed VI, the royal family and the Moroccan people.

Despite his unstable state of health and worsening illness, the president rabbi of the Jewish court of Casablanca insisted on making the trip to the city of Ouazzane. This was to fulfill the wishes of his followers around the world for a special prayer, asking the Almighty to relieve the Jewish people as well as the rest of humanity from the suffering caused by the Coronavirus that has caused many deaths and an economic recession.
