Health Minister Resolves the Controversy over Free Coronavirus Vaccine in Morocco

Health Minister Khalid Ait Taleb said that the vaccine against Covid 19 will not be mandatory. However, he said that citizen engagement is essential to achieve herd immunity.

Ait Taleb said that the price of the vaccine will be supported by the state, which will be responsible for vaccinating the poor and front-line workers. He added that the vaccine will be paid for by social security organizations.

He said in the press release following the meeting of the technical committee on vaccination that discusses about making the vaccine completely free of charge are still ongoing within the government.
