Abderrazak Hamdallah Surpasses Mohamed Salah and Wins the Best Arab Player Award

The Moroccan international footballer Abderrazak Hamdallah, the striker of the Saudi Al Nassr soccer club, was chosen as the best Arab player of the year 2020. He became the first African to win this award. 

The Moroccan player won the award for the best Arab player of the year, according to a vote by the Arab CNN channel, which lasted 3 days, with the participation of 950,367 Twitter users.

The striker Hamdallah got the first place with 39.8% of the votes, surpassing Salem Al-Dossari, the player of Al-Hilal’s team who got 29.1%.

According to the site of the channel in question, Al Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy was ranked third with 26.4% of the votes, against 4.7% for the Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the player of the English Liverpool club.

The Arabic version of the CNN channel had posted a vote to the Arab audience to choose the best Arab player of the year 2020.

Among the list of candidates for this award, alongside the striker Hamdallah, the Liverpool player Mohamed Salah, the goalkeeper of Al Ahly Mohamed El-Shenawy and the Saudi Salem Al-Dossari of Al-Hilal SC.
