After authorising its use as a treatment for covid-19, the Kingdom has just acquired a second shipment of the American drug “Molnupiravir”, from the pharmaceutical company “Merck”.
In an interview granted to the national channel Al Aoula, the director of medicines and pharmacy at the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, said that Morocco will receive this second delivery of “Molnupiravir” during this week. This, said Professor Bouchra Meddah, after the Kingdom acquired 30,000 vials of this drug during the first delivery last December.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare had previously announced that “Molnupiravir” will be used in the specific health protocol in the treatment of covid-19 for people over 18 years of age, who have experienced symptoms of the disease for at least five days.
