Twinning agreement between Tan-Tan and the Italian city of Giffoni Valle Piana

A twinning agreement was signed Tuesday between Tan-Tan and the Italian city of Giffoni Valle Piana, with the aim of promoting bilateral cooperation, especially in economic and tourism. As part of the decentralized cooperation between Morocco and Italy, this agreement was initialed by the mayors of Tan-Tan, Habib Louamane, and Giffoni Valle Piana, Antonio Giuliano, in the presence of representatives of local authorities and civil society. This agreement, the second after that signed last Sunday between Tan-Tan and the city of Latiano, opens “promising” prospects for the consolidation of partnership ties between the two parties in the economic, tourism and film, given the notorious growth that the region.

On this occasion, the mayor of Giffoni Valle Piana has expressed the desire to strengthen relations with Tan-Tan, noting that the twinning agreement provides for the establishment of cooperation, especially in economic matters. Mr. Louamane has, for his part, highlighted the progress made in the city of Tan-Tan and development projects implemented, as well as the potentialities that this city abounds. “We are aware of the impact that could have such a dynamic cooperation and partnership between the two respective territories, and we are committed to working for the success of this partnership,” he said. “This twinning is part of the consolidation of decentralized cooperation conducted by the Moroccan municipalities and the strategic partnership signed between the Kingdom and Italy in 2019,” said the Consul of the Kingdom in Naples, Abdelkader Naji, highlighting the progress and economic development of the southern provinces of the Kingdom.
