A Kenya Airways plane flying from New York to Nairobi had to land on Monday 22 August at Mohammed V airport in Casablanca. This forced landing took place after a passenger became ill and died on board, the airline reported in a statement.

Kenya Airways said the flight was diverted to Casablanca, Morocco, where airport medical staff consulted the passenger, and later confirmed his death. “The passenger had respiratory complications,” confirmed crew members.
