The lawyer of the youtuber Fatiha, Me Bouchaib Soufi, appealed the verdict of the court of first instance of Témara. The 41-year-old woman was sentenced to two years in prison and a fine of 500 dirhams, after sharing a video in bad taste on Youtube.
Me Bouchaib Soufi told the website people Ralia that the penalty imposed on his client and her husband is heavy and will be appealed. In addition, the defense intends to pursue its request to conduct an evaluation of mental abilities of Fatiha, knowing that she is undergoing treatment for a year already.
The yachtswoman was apprehended at her home in Témara on October 8, along with her husband, after sharing a video in which she could be seen responding to the call of nature. The charges against the mother of 41 years old concern the indecent assault and bad example for the youth.
