The City Council of the economic capital is about to take a series of measures regarding the management of available water resources. These actions come at a time when rainfall is delayed.
Casablanca will thus join the list of cities where water consumption has been subject to certain restrictions. According to information from the City Council, a meeting will be held in the coming days in this sense. The situation would have reached an alarming level, insofar as the water level of the main dams that supply the city has drastically decreased.
In this regard, Moulay Ahmed Afilal, Deputy Mayor in charge of cleanliness, said that the situation of water resources in Casablanca is currently critical. For him, some Casablancais are not aware of the situation and continue to waste water thoughtlessly.
