The appeal trial was postponed to April 13, in order to summon the witness who witnessed the rape.
As a reminder, the three culprits of the rape of the 11 year old girl were sentenced to sentences ranging from 18 to 24 months. Sentences considered light that have scandalized public opinion and associations for the defense of children’s rights. A sit-in was organized on Wednesday by “The Spring of Dignity”, a coalition of human rights associations, in front of the Court of Appeal in Rabat.
Recall that the prosecution has appealed the contested verdict under which the perpetrators were granted mitigating circumstances.
