The Morocco Mall Junior Pro Casablanca, first stage of the Junior Qualifying Series (JQS) 2023 of the World Surf League (WSL) Europe, started in good weather conditions.
The Morocco Mall Junior Pro Casablanca, the first stop on the World Surf League (WSL) Europe 2023 Junior Qualifying Series (JQS), just got underway in nice waves of about one meter with light winds.
“We’re excited to kick off our 2023 Junior season in some nice waves today in Casablanca,” said Rob Gunning, Tour Manager for WSL Europe. “We have a big first day ahead of us, starting with the men’s first round.
The top European and Moroccan surfers are looking forward to kicking off their 2023 season in great conditions this week at the Ain Diab spot in Casablanca. The waves should be present all week. More than 150 athletes are expected to participate in the second edition of the Morocco Mall Junior Pro Casablanca, including the elite of the European continent, as well as the best young Moroccans.
The first men’s round started on Wednesday morning and included 16 rounds of 20 minutes.
