In Marrakech, on Sunday December 24, members of the Prefecture’s Judicial Police arrested the alleged murderer of a young woman, aged 26. The case dates back to the previous day, Saturday December 23, when the victim fell from the window of an apartment in the Essaâda district. Suffering fractures, she was taken to hospital in a very critical condition, but soon gave up the ghost. The investigation revealed that she had been spending a drunken night with her lover in another apartment. Following a misunderstanding, he mistreated her. She fled to another apartment belonging to one of her relatives. But her lover followed her and began beating her so severely that she fell out of the window. He denies having pushed her, claiming that she threw herself out of the window of her own free will.
