Thirteen kilos of heroin were seized on Monday, March 11, at the port of Tangier Med, during border control procedures carried out jointly by the national security and customs services, according to a judicial source, who added that a Moroccan with Dutch nationality was arrested during the operation.
This quantity of hard drugs was contained in a bag concealed under the engine of a car registered in the Netherlands and coming from Spain, said the same source.
The quantity of heroin seized has been placed in the hands of experts from the Laboratoire National de la Police Scientifique et Technique for further technical expertise, said the same source, who concluded that the investigation is still underway to get to the bottom of the whole affair.
