Travel agency manager held in custody

Abandoned after arriving in Mecca by the travel agency that was supposed to take care of them during the days they were to perform the Umrah, some pilgrims, on their return to their city, Fez, lodged a complaint against the director of this agency. After holding her in police custody last Friday, members of the judicial police of the Fez security prefecture brought her before the King’s prosecutor at the city’s court of first instance. Indeed, the ten or so complainants claimed that they were left to their own devices as soon as they arrived in the Holy City. In other words, the agency manager did not respect the terms of the contract, and was only responsible for the means of transport, i.e. the plane tickets, no more and no less. She took no responsibility for their accommodation, nor for their transport around the city throughout their day of Umrah.
