On Saturday, January 25, 2020, the Mohammed V National Theater in Rabat will host a charity artistic concert, entitled “Moroccan Song: The Voice of Tolerance”, with the participation of a number of prestigious artists, considered as true ambassadors of Morocco, spreading its culture and artistic heritage in the various festivals in which they participate.
Organized by the Moroccan Millennium Leaders Association, the first edition of this event aims to spread the culture of diversity, coexistence, tolerance and acceptance of others through art, music and song, while supporting cancer patients.
The event will be hosted by journalist Atiq Ben Chiguer, known to Moroccans through his artistic programs on 2M.
The Moroccan Jewish singer Raymonde Al bidawiya (Raymonde Abecassis), known for her performance of pop songs, Malhoun as well as Jewish “chgouri”, will participate with famous songs such as “Dak Lahbib”, “Choufi Ghirou”, “Alalla ou haylali”, etc.
The “Diva of Aita” and icon of pop song in Morocco, Hajja El Hamdawiya will perform with her voice which has lost none of its brilliance, despite her age. She will perform a series of famous songs such as “Daba Yji Ya lahbiba”, “Dada Hayani” and “Mal hbibi Malou Alia”.
The promising singer Mourad Boureki, a native of Safi, who won the title of the first season of “The Voice” in its Arabic version, and who is known for his amazing performance of Melhoun and Andalusia, will also participate in this event.
The organizers of this concert, which serves as a message of tolerance and openness, will donate its proceeds to the Lions Clubs Association to support cancer patients. These proceeds will be used to equip rooms at the Rabat University Children’s Hospital, thus allowing children with cancer and their families to be welcomed in good conditions.
