Since the resumption of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel, the two countries are determined to promote a dynamic and innovative bilateral economic cooperation in several fields, including technology.
Indeed, the rating agency Fitch recently gave Israel an A+ rating. It attributed the strong economic activity in 2021 in part to the high-tech sector, which has seen record investments, exits and IPOs and “led to higher collection of related taxes”.
Known for its leadership in high-tech, the Hebrew state announced on Wednesday 2 March the imminent launch of a project to train Arab students in the field. The announcement was also relayed on the official account of the State of Israel on the social network Twitter.
“The Foreign Ministry has launched a project to develop the high-tech capabilities of students from Arab countries,” including Morocco, the source said.
Candidates from Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain are also eligible, it added. The latter, in addition to training, will be hired in Israeli high-tech companies, she stressed, adding that the work will be done remotely.
