The Portuguese Embassy in Morocco Starts a Photography Competition

A photography competition, entitled “Portugal and Morocco – Crossed Perspectives”, was launched by the Portuguese Ambassador to Morocco, Bernardo Futscher Pereira, for all art lovers and enthusiasts.

The Portuguese ambassador said that this is an opportunity to promote and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. The aim is to share their culture, their landscape and their exceptionally rich and diversified gastronomy.

In a statement, the embassy said that the competition is divided into two categories, the first deals with the memory, heritage and history of the two countries, while the second deals with various aspects of their modern life, from the economy to travel, sports, gastronomy or other.

“Photography is a democratic art, with millions of people practicing it. With this initiative, we want to discover and promote new talents, either Moroccan or Portuguese, and thus contribute to a better mutual knowledge of our two countries,” said Bernardo Futscher Pereira.

Moreover, he noted that this initiative is open to both Moroccan and Portuguese nationals, and to all residents of both countries, while specifying that the deadline for submitting works will end on October 30, 2020.  It also sets out the rules of the competition, the winner in each category will be announced at the end of the year and will be awarded a prize of 500 euros.
