Judicial Cooperation: Morocco and India Strengthen their Partnership

The High Council of the Judiciary (HJPC) and the Supreme Court of India signed, this Friday, an agreement of cooperation in the judicial field, particularly in the field of information technology and digital technology.

This agreement was signed by the first president of the Court of Cassation, deputy chairman of the HJPC, Mustapha Fares, and India’s ambassador to Rabat, Shambhu Kumaran. This will allow the exchange of experiences and expertise between the two countries in the field of computer and digital technologies.

“The aim is to boost the role of the judiciary, particularly in the field of computer and programming technologies, as well as to share new developments and knowledge in the field of digital justice,” Mustapha Fares said. He added that “these are all important areas of strategic importance in which we are seriously and responsibly engaged in order to meet future challenges effectively and efficiently.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Kumaran said that this is a great opportunity to exchange knowledge and share experiences and expertise between Morocco and India in the field of justice and, particularly, in the field of information and digital technologies.

The two parties expressed their satisfaction with the excellent historical and cooperative relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of India, which will be strengthened with the judicial cooperation component.
