Burundi-Morocco: Atlas Lions Have Reached their Destination

After an unconvincing first match against Mauritania (0-0), the Atlas Lions flew to Bujumbura to face Burundi on November 19 as part of the second day of the CAN 2021 qualifiers.

Vahid Halilhodzic’s men arrived at their destination this Sunday morning at around 7:45 am (local time), after a 12-hour flight (direct flight).

It should be recalled that the national team began the CAN 2021 qualifiers on Friday, November 15, by taking on their Mauritanian counterpart. A first game that disappointed many people. The two teams split on a goalless draw (0-0).

As a reminder, Morocco is in Group E with Mauritania, Burundi and the Central African Republic. Burundi had lost (0-2) to the Central African Republic.
