As part of the efforts made to combat the Coronavirus pandemic, Birkenstock Morocco, manufacturer and distributor of the famous brand of shoes, has decided to support everyday heroes in the fight against the pandemic.
Given that healthcare professionals should be treated the best, the company has decided to donate its medical clogs to all healthcare personnel working in the medical units dedicated to Covid-19 in all Moroccan cities.
With an international reputation, Birkenstock professional shoes are not only safe and hygienic, but also offer optimal comfort thanks to their anatomically shaped footbed.
“Considering the unprecedented situation the country is facing, Birkenstock Morocco would like to thank and support the hospital staff for their extreme dedication on its own scale. More than ever, Birkenstock Morocco wishes to support these heroes, doctors, nurses and all the healthcare staff who do exceptional work every day,” says Samir Ahmimed, director of Occo Holding S.A.R.L., the brand’s exclusive distributor in Morocco.
Since April 20th, this supportive operation has enabled the distribution of more than 600 pairs of clogs. This week, hospitals in Tetouan, Tangier, Rabat, Casablanca and Marrakech will benefit from a donation of medical shoes.
In the next few days, it will be the turn of the hospitals in Agadir, Fez, Meknes, Oujda, Nador, Al Hoceima and Ouarzazate to be provided with their own supplies of shoes. The company is going further by extending this solidarity operation to all health professionals working in structures dedicated to Covid-19.
